Windows 7 Final Version Released This Week

In reading through blogs and news feeds this week, I’ve learned that the wait for Windows 7 will soon be over! This is great news for everyone that has been waiting for a Vista replacement as well as the latest OS from Microsoft.  The first groups of people and businesses that will be eligible to receive Windows 7 will be those in Microsoft’s MSDN and TechNet developer programs and will have access to the new operating system starting on Thursday.

The next date will be on Friday when large businesses with volume license deals for Windows will get access to the code. Other large businesses will have to wait until September 1st.

Microsoft confirmed on Tuesday that it is planning the official launch date for Windows 7 to be October 22nd, when the product will hit retail shelves and be installed on new PCs.

Seth Rosenblatt, of CNET, gives an official review of the operating system in the embedded video review below.

You can read Springhouse’s other blog posts on Windows 7 which are shown below and also register for our upcoming complimentary one-hour webinars on Windows 7 and other topics.

We also offer a course in Updating your Skills from Windows XP to Windows 7 Beta (which will soon be updated).
