Springhouse Offers Project Management Dual Certification Program Designed To Optimize Career Changes
In a shrinking economy, Springhouse Education and Consulting Services, Inc (HQ Exton,PA) was challenged with identifying the fastest-growing career opportunities and developing a training program to accommodate the audience that is shifting careers.
“The Project Management Institute (PMI®) Project Management Professional (PMP®) training program has seen tremendous upsurge over the past year,” according to Gerry Vogler (inset), Springhouse EPM Practice Manager. “Project Managers are now seeking validation of their skill sets, especially as many re-enter the competitive job market. PMI Certification sets them apart.”
The other skill set now receiving industry recognition is the maturation of the Microsoft® Project Certification. The 2007 version of Microsoft Project and Project Server now maps directly to a Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist Certification. “This is an exciting change in the Microsoft Certification process,” says Vogler. “Now Project Managers can show both their expertise in the tools like Microsoft Project and PMI Project Management best practices – this will be the new ‘golden ticket’ for the Project Managers of the future.”
The Springhouse Dual Certification Program kicks off July 7, 2009 and runs over 11 evenings and 2 Saturdays throughout the summer. The program is flexible with convenient hours to accommodate the schedules of working professionals. Additionally, Springhouse is offering this program simultaneously at their facility in Exton, PA and delivered over the Internet via Springhouse Connect, our Remote Learning System.
Vogler adds, “This is the most current and comprehensive content available, being delivered in a manner that is innovative and appropriate for today’s market, but ultimately what is important is that adult learners get the training necessary to pass these exams. That is what’s important to those investing in this training.”

I highly recommend the Project Management program at UTD to anyone interested in Project Management as a Profession - http://som.utdallas.edu/graduate/execed/project.... It's accredited by the Project Management Institute.
I would like to learn more about project management. I am a software tester and currently assigned in testing project management applications that is specifically catered to earned value management system. My question is …do you know any academic institutions that will help me to better understand the process?
